DETAILED PROJECT DESCRIPTION –
Hanworth House is a beautiful Grade 2 Listed Georgian House in a landscaped park. The house has been used variously as a Flying Club, an RAF base and, most recently, a Nursing Home. It is currently vacant and on the English Heritage Buildings at Risk Register. x
Upchurch Associates have been working with the Client, the Local Authority and English Heritage to obtain consent for a scheme to restore the house for use as a luxury hotel, conference centre and function venue. The scheme includes a new 130 bedroom wing and extensive work to the grounds. A glass roof will be built over the courtyard of the existing building to create a café space and additional conference and leisure facilities will be provided in a purpose-built block.
