DETAILED PROJECT DESCRIPTION –
Hanworth House is a beautiful Grade II* Listed Georgian House in a landscaped park. The house has been used variously as a Flying Club, an RAF base and, most recently, a Nursing Home. It is currently vacant and on the English Heritage Buildings at Risk Register.
Upchurch Associates have been working with the Client, the Local Authority and English Heritage to obtain consent for a scheme to restore the house for use as a luxury hotel, conference centre and function venue. The scheme includes a new 130 bedroom wing and extensive work to the grounds. A glass roof will be built over the courtyard of the existing building to create a café space and additional conference and leisure facilities will be provided in a purpose-built block.
