DETAILED PROJECT DESCRIPTION –
Findon Chase is a residential development on the site of a former convent. The site was designed to fit into an existing rural landscape and consisted of a number of bespoke house types designed using the local vernacular.
Key elements: rural setting, preservation of significant trees subject to a Tree Preservation Orders, the brief called for executive style housing, within a village boundary, the requirement for contextual development.
Other Information: The project received the following awards: National House Builder Design Awards 2000: Best House in England - Commended & Best New Housing Project - citation
